Labor, Health and Safety

The implementation of corporate social responsibility related to employment, occupational health and safety responsibility is the internal responsibility of the Company which consists of best practice of Company’s care towards employees, health benefits, work safety related to equal rights, employment opportunities, work facilities and health safety, level of workplace accidents as well as education and training.

A healthy and safe work environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policy is among the many rights of an Employee that is also a priority for the Company. The Company believes that a proper work environment will create a calming work ambiance that can boost Employee productivity that will result in improved Company’s performance. Employee Health and Safety

As one big family, the Company pays great attention to the employees’ health and safety during their daily work activities. The Company equips each plant with a clinic and professional paramedics.


Canteen Facility

The Company provides a canteen in each plant that caters a variety of food free of charge for employees. The food is prepared by a third party caterer after passing strict assessment in terms of hygiene and halal standards.


Work Safety Facility and Management of OHS

To ensure the security in working environment, the Company provides trained security guards to protect its employees within the Company’s vicinity. The working area is also equipped with fire detector, portable fire extinguishers, hydrants, evacuation routes, evacuation team, and Health and Safety officers.


Health Facilities and Insurance for Employees

The Company provides social benefits to the employees such as health care insurance, pension plan, workplace safety insurance, and life insurance.


Gender Equality, Career Opportunities and Assessment Systems

The Company obeys and complies with the labor regulations, such as no child labor and all Employees work within applicable working hours with no coercion. The Employees are entitled to equal treatment at work, no discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, and race. The equality also applies to the remuneration of the Employees that does not differentiate between male or female. Any difference in the remuneration amount should be influenced by the Employee’s performance.


The Employee performance is reviewed through an ongoing and interactive processes between Employees and managers, with process of coaching, mentoring, and provision of feedback between Employees and managers, in order for the Employees to know their positions in terms of performance and achievement during the year.


Industrial Relations

The industrial relations between the Company and its Employees are backed by PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk’s Sukses Federation Union as part of the Employee rights to associate. Whenever the Company or Employee feel the need to submit a complaint, the submission procedure has been regulated in the Collective Labor Agreement (PKB) between PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk with the Company’s labor union.
