In 1995 the Company was established in Cikarang, West Java and then in the following year operated commercially by introducing “Sari Roti” to Indonesian families. 


In 2001, the Company doubled its production capacity in order to meet demand and keep up with the rapid growth of the mass-produced bread industry.

In 2003, the Company was renamed PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo. In 2005, the Company operated the second plant in Pasuruan, East Java, and the third plant in Cikarang, West Java, in order to increase its market penetration to the East Region.

In 2010, the Company issued an Initial Public Offering (IPO) with the ticker code ROTI on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Continue to extend our distribution network and open 5 additional plants in Semarang, Central Java (2011), Medan, North Sumatra (2011), Cibitung, West Java (2012), Makassar, South Sulawesi (2013), and Palembang, South Sumatra (2013) to better serve more Indonesian families. 


Then in 2014, the Company completed the construction of new plant in Purwakarta, West Java and Cikande, Banten, thus completing 10 commercially operated plants spread across 6 provinces.

Starting in 2015, the Company implemented the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System standard, as well as the ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 and ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System. In order to support future business expansion, the Company was able to improve its capital structure by implementing a Rights Issue in 2017. In the same year, the Company established PT Mitra New Grain, a subsidiary that specializes in all sorts of mixed flour and mixed flour dough. 


In 2018, the company improved its Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2015 and began operations at its 11th plant in Batam, Riau Islands.

In 2019, the Company established a subsidiary, PT Indosari Niaga Nusantara which is engaged in the trading business to expand the distributions. In a period of 3 years, the Company successively operated a plant located in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan (2019), then in Gresik, East Java (2019) and followed by a new plant in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (2021). 


In 2022, the Company launched "Sari Kue" as a new product category, and gradually upgrading the Food Safety Management System to FSSC 22000.


In 2023, the Company launched "Sari Choco" as a new product category, and operated a chocolate filling production line facility. The company also begun implementing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard.


In 2024 the Company commenced operation of the 15th plant in Pekanbaru, Riau and established PT Javasari Mitra Prima that engages in bakery and cake products industry.


The Company operates 15 plants which are strategically located with a distribution network of more than 100,000 points of sales on modern, traditional, and Business to Business channels throughout Indonesia.


Currently, the Company's business has gone beyond bread, presenting a variety of cakes, spreads, cookies, and milk products for all Indonesian people. We call it, BEYOND Bread!
