Improved Performance Attained in 2011
Jakarta, April 19, 2012 – PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo, Tbk. (“Indosari”) is the bread producer for the “Sari Roti” brand.
In 2011, Indosari improved its operational and financial performance. In accordance with its Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2011, the Net Sales for 2011 experienced a 33% growth to IDR 813 billion and booked a Net Profit of IDR 116 billion or a 16% increase from its IDR 100 billion Net Profit in 2010. This achievement was due to improvement such as:
a. Ability to increase the production volume and grow the Company Assets by installing additional lines of production and construction of new production plants;
b. Improve the sales through various marketing strategies;
In 2011, Indosari, as the leading producer in the baking industry, received various awards, such as: 2011 Top Brand, 2011 Top Brand for Kids, 2011 Business Record, and “The Best Under a Billion” from Forbes Asia Magazine. In addition, Indosari opened new production plants in Semarang, Medan, and Cibitung. Total production capacity in 2011 exceeded 2 million pcs/day. In 2012, Indosari plans to expand its business by opening new production plants in Palembang and Makassar as well as increase the production capacity of its existing plants in Pasuruan, Semarang, and Medan resulting in total production capacity surpassing 3 million pcs/day.
At the Indosari Annual General Meeting for Shareholders held on Thursday, April 19, 2012, the management proposes a 25% profit sharing out of its 2011 net profit which will be distributed in the form of cash dividends.
